Perfect little mountain escape
Invermere is such a solid choice if you want mountains without the chaos of bigger resorts. Panorama Mountain is just up the road and the skiing was fantastic. Slopes are well-maintained and not overcrowded. Really enjoyed it.
Great spot for a winter getaway
We came for the skiing at Panorama and it delivered. The snow conditions were excellent and the runs had something for every level. The town itself is small but cozy, with good food options on 7th Avenue. Not flashy, just genuinely good.
Lovely town with real character
Invermere has this easy-going feel that's hard to find in more touristy mountain towns. Walked along the waterfront near Lake Windermere and it was stunning. The locals are friendly and the whole place just feels relaxed and genuine. Really glad we stopped here.
Lake Windermere in summer is something else
The beach at Lake Windermere was clean, the water was warm enough for swimming, and it didn't feel packed even in peak season. Great for families. The kids loved it and we had a brilliant time. Small town feel but everything you need is right there.
Underestimated how much I'd enjoy this place
Came mostly because a friend recommended it and left genuinely impressed. Lake Windermere is gorgeous in summer, the hiking options nearby are solid, and 7th Avenue has decent cafes and shops. It's the kind of town that doesn't try too hard and that's exactly why it works.
Quiet, beautiful, and worth the drive
December in Invermere is magical without being over the top. Snow-covered mountains everywhere you look, cozy spots to eat on 7th Avenue, and Panorama just a short drive away. It's a small town but it punches above its weight in terms of what's available.
